- Mike Turner Review added: 2018.06.19★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Comfortable clean and mostly well run hotel with very friendly staff. Good food too. Bedroom in the "modern" block was excellent. Only criticism was that the service in all areas was very slow and as we were playing golf to strict tee times this was a problem. Allow plenty of time for meals! Two golf courses to play on, one in the Forest itself, kept mown by cattle, donkeys, deer and ponies. The other one was more conventional, in excellent order and even more of a pleasure to play on.
Will definitely go again. Reasonably priced, not cheap but good value for money.
Easy to find being only ten minutes from the M 27..but in a different world of its own
